Mission Park Experience

Each year the Glenmary Sisters present the Owensboro PumpkinFest as a means to give the community an event the entire family can enjoy.

This year, the Glenmary Sisters are proud to present the Mission Park Experience. This area of the festival (inside the Sportscenter) will be open throughout the entire festival and will give the public a chance to peer into the mission work of the Glenmary Sisters.

Each of the Glenmary home mission areas will be represented. There will be information, photos, and artifacts from each of these unique areas. What is a "home mission" you ask? Rather than going abroad to serve the needs of people, the Glenmary Sisters have served right here in the United States in the rural and southeast since 1941.

Make sure to pop in to the Mission Park while at this year's PumpkinFest and learn a little more about "the Pumpkin Sisters".
